Aly Raisman is an American artistic gymnast.  At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she was captain of the gold-medal winning US women's gymnastics team and individually won a gold medal on the floor and a bronze medal on the balance beam.  She was also on the US teams that won a silver medal at the 2010 World Championships and a gold medal at the 2011 World Championships.

In September 2012, Raisman was injured during the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions in Ontario, California, and decided to retire from competition but transitioned into being an ambassador and supporter of the sport while pursing other interests. In 2013, she appeared on Dancing with the Stars during which she finished in the Top 3.

At 215 pounds Raisman was one of the largest gymnasts ever to compete in the Olympic Games and was the heaviest gold medalist in both the team competition and in individual competition.  After her retirement Raisman's weight increased quickly as by the time she began Dancing with the Stars in early 2013, Raisman already weighed 275 pounds.  Although the competition, Raisman weight increased weekly and by the end it was estimated she weighed around 320 pounds.  As of September 2013, Raisman currently weighs 350 pounds.
